Mental Health Professionals

In the mental health field, experiencing burn-out is common. This can be due to unreasonable expectations, toxic work enviroments, vicarious trauma, and/or lack of support.

You probably went into this profession because you wanted to help others.  The old saying "you gotta put on your own oxygen mask before you can put one on someone else" might be cliche but it makes sense. Let's face it, sometimes we are terrible at taking our own advice.
